Science Day in Y3 - How does a Gentoo penguin make it's nest?

Y3 were trying to make nests like the Gentoo penguins using only clothes pegs to pick everything up (to replicate a penguin's beak).

Maths outside - skittles and pictograms.  Outdoor learning promotes lots of discussion in Y3 who were really pleased with their final product.  Which colour skittle was the most popular?

More maths - a great place to practise drawing and measuring is on our lovely courtyard playground. So many things to measure and compare.
