Afterschool Clubs - Autumn Term 2022

We have some exciting new after school clubs starting in Autumn 2 and letters will be going out Tuesday 1st November and starting on Monday 7th November.

Places will be limited so please look out for these.

All after school clubs will be dismissed from the SSO Entrance (Tommy's Gate)

Monday -         Mixed Football Club Years 5 & 6           3.30pm - 4.30pm

Tuesday -         Mixed Netball Club Years 4 & 5             3.30pm - 4.30pm

Wednesday -    No Clubs Staff CPD

Thursday -        X Country Training Years 4,5 & 6           3.30pm - 4.00pm

Friday -              Speed Stacking Club Years 3 & 4          12.45pm -1.15pm

Get Caught Doing Sport!

Miss Wright is creating a display in school and is really interested in what sports you do at home.

If you have any pictures of you in a local club, team or being active in your own time, please send in photos to admin@henleygreen.coventry.sch.uk.

Alternatively, bring your photo in and it can be photocopied and returned to you.

For ‘National Fitness Day’, Dame Darcey Bussell and her team hosted a virtual dance class to schools across the country from the new Academy of Dance Headquarters.

Sports Leaders

Last week applications went out for our Sports Leaders. There was a keen interest with 28 applicants.

We are please to announce we now have 14 year 6 Sports Leaders. These children have taken part in 3 after school training sessions.

Being a Sports Leader enables our children to:

• Involve children in group games
• Ensure playtimes are fun and enjoyable 
• Develop skills in Leadership 
• Help run reception, KS1 and KS2 sports days.

These children will be asked to interact with younger children, this could be at lunchtime or break times.
