Inclusion

Our Approach.

Henley Green Primary School maintains an inclusive approach to education. We strive to ensure that all pupils reach their full potential socially, emotionally and academically.

We recognise that some pupils may need additional support at points throughout their school life. This support may be in the form of physical resources, additional teaching or approaches to learning. We aim to identify pupil needs quickly to implement the appropriate support to enable progress. At times, the school may need to involve specialists from outside agencies to support our practice. The school adopts a graduated approach to Inclusion, as detailed in the flow charts below.

The school has a dedicated Inclusion Team:

Mrs Mair Coonan: Inclusion Manager and Assistant Headteacher (Currently on Maternity Leave)

Miss Emma Baxter: Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion & SEND Co

Mrs Maxine Murphy: Child and Family Support Manager

Mrs Joanne Rouse: Learning Mentor

Miss Kim Morris: Teaching Support Assistant

The team work across the school to support staff, pupils and parents.

Attendance at Henley Green

At Henley Green we believe children will make progress by:

  • Taking pride in following the school rules and routines.
  • Taking responsibility to be in school every day on time.
  • Taking an active role in rich and rewarding experiences.
  • Being appreciated and rewarded for achievements and successes.

Every minute matters and every school day counts!
