At our school, we are proud to offer a nurturing and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision through our two dedicated hubs. We provide a calm, structured and supportive environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
HUBS:
Hub 1 for children in year 1 and Hub 2 for children in year 2 and above.
Both hubs support pupils to access learning in small groups with lessons adapted to meet individual needs. Our aim is to help every child feel safe, valued and confident in their learning.
Hub 1:
Teacher: Mrs Swiderska
Teaching Assistants: Miss Thornewell, Mrs Smith and Mrs Mbarouk.
Hub 2:
Teacher: Mrs Blakeman
Teaching Assistants: Mrs Sidhu, Miss Flavell and Mrs Mbarouk.
Learning Environment and Curriculum :
Our both hubs are well-resourced classrooms staffed by experienced adults who are trained to support children with a range of special educational needs. Students in both hubs follow the National Curriculum for phonics, maths, science and topic lessons. All learning is personalised, flexible and adapted to suit each pupil’s level, learning style and individual targets.
In Hub 1 and 2 teaching is highly practical and sensory based to support early development.
Children explore learning through sensory stories with well-based resources and structured play. This approach helps pupils develop communication skills, vocabulary, attention and understanding of the world. Story focus across the year includes:

Sensory music :
Both hubs take part in sensory music sessions. Students explore a range of musical instruments and participate in activities based around a chosen song. These sessions support sensory regulation, listening skills and enjoyment of music.
TAC PAC Massage:
Across both hubs we offer TAC PAC sessions- communication approach that uses touch and music to support sensory regulation and connection. TAC PAC helps create sensory alignment and is particularly beneficial for children and young people with sensory impairments, complex learning difficulties and pre- verbal levels of communication. TAC PAC supports relaxation, engagement and meaningful interaction.
We deliver TAC PAC sessions three times a week.
Attention Bucket Session called Bucket Time
These sessions are designed to build attention, communication and social skills in a fun, structured way. Using visually exciting and motivating objects presented from a bucket or box, children are encouraged to develop shared focus, anticipation and engagement. Attention bucket sessions support: joint attention, turn taking and early communication skills.
