Guided Reading

Topic
For Topic this week please read the PDF and complete the work sheet at the end of the lesson.
If you do not have a printer to complete the cutting and sticking activity at home. In your workbooks can you write out the names of the Gods and Goddesses and then you can draw the symbol for each of them or describe what their symbol is.

PAL Facts
Before you start your Maths lesson today, complete your PAL facts sheet (below). You can write the answers to each question in your exercise book.
Today we will be practicing mental subtraction by using number lines to find the difference between two numbers. There are examples in the PDF to show you how to do this efficiently . Once you have practised, complete the sheet below (Thursday - efficient subtraction). A copy or photo of the completed questions (either on the sheet or in your exercise book) should then be sent to your teacher to mark at:

Read through the information on the PDF and look at the BBC bitesize video to help with your learning challenge. You have two weeks to complete your project and email it to your teacher.

Science/Music
The Year 4 children in school have been learning about sound in music lessons with Miss Fear. They have made a short video to show what they have learnt and Miss Fear has set you a challenge. Maybe you could use the finished product in your own sound presentation.

PAL Challenge
Before you start your Maths lesson today, complete your PAL Challenge sheet (below). You can write the answers to each question in your exercise book.
Today you are going into space!
You will need to use your knowledge of negative numbers, number facts and mental calculations to help your space commander with her mission.
Follow the examples on the PDF and look back at previous lessons if you need support. If this doesn't work, email mission control at: yr4@henleygreen.coventry.sch.uk where your space commander will be happy to help!
Once you have completed your training, move on to the challenges below (Friday task). This important data must be emailed to mission control once you have completed it.
