Today we are learning about the Seasons.

Look at the pictures below and talk about what you can see.

Example Key questions you might ask your child:

What is the weather like in winter?

What colour are the leaves in Autumn?

Can we build a snowman in the summer?

What do we wear in summer to protect us from the sun?

All About Spring.

Spring is in March, April and May. Spring weather can be mixed it is often sunny and rainy – so you might see a rainbow in the sky! Spring is a time for new life and growth. Lots of baby animals are born in the spring. You might spot bluebells and other flowers growing too.

All About Summer.

The summer months are June, July and August. The weather is usually
warm and sometimes very hot, so you need to wear a sun hat and sun glasses. Often in Summer time people enjoy visiting the beach and playing in paddling pools to keep cool.

All About Autumn.

The autumn months are September, October and November. The weather is a bit chilly, there is usually more rain and it can be foggy. In Autumn leaves conkers and acorns begin to fall off trees, and we celebrate harvest, Halloween and bonfire night.

All About Winter.

Winter is in December, January and February. Winter can be very cold. We are able to make snowmen when it snows and we also see frost and ice. In the Winter we need to wear hats, scarves and gloves to keep warm.
