Now you will need to research the Latin names for some animals. Look at the image below or open the document below. You need to match up the Latin name to the English name. Use the internet to find out which matches which. TIP: It is easier if you put in the Latin name into your search engine rather than the English word. If you have a printer, print off and draw straight lines between the names. If you don’t, write the names in your book. Email your answers to the Y6 email address so it can be marked.
EXTRA ACTIVITY:
Create a fact file for one of these animals. Research some facts and include its Latin name of course! You could try drawing it too. Email in your work to show us if you're proud of your work and Dojos will be on your way!
WALT: calculate the area of rectangles
Click on the WALT and watch the lesson. The task is this lesson needs two dice and squared paper, if you haven’t got that go straight to the task below. Email in a copy of your work, including the calculations.

Focusing on what you have to be grateful for forces you to not only become a more positive person—but also lowers your stress, gives you more energy and helps you sleep better.
Gratitude is like a miracle vitamin for your mind, body, and soul and is one of the easiest self-care habits to practice each day.
It’s also completely free, so there’s no excuse not to do it. ๐
Watch the video on the Primary Forest School Facebook page or follow these instructions below:
1) Find an old jam jar or container.
2) When you go outside collect some natural items you find in your garden or a walk you may go on with your family.
3) Place an item in the jar and as you place them in the jar you say what you are grateful for.
(You can incorporate a bit of mindfulness and use your senses as you place them in your jar - how do they feel? what do they smell like?)
4) You can decorate your jar and keep adding to it with all the things you are grateful for.
