This week we are recapping number composition to 5.
Challenge 1:
Look at the pictures of the ladybirds below. Can you count how many spots the ladybird has on each side? Then count how many spots the ladybird has altogether.
Challenge 2:
Can you have a go at drawing your own ladybirds?
How many spots will each of your ladybirds have?
Explore how the same amount of spots can be arranged in different ways. For example:
4 and 0 is 4. 3 and 1 is 4 2 and 2 is 4.
These ladybirds all have the same amount of spots but they have been arranged differently.
