Hit the button resource

Year 1 love testing their maths fluency and challenging their friends using different programs.

‘Hit the button’ is an interactive tool which children, with access to the internet, can use to test themselves. It is a timed resource too so children can work on beating their last scores or times!

Begin by practising your numbers bonds to 10 and let Miss Sohanta and Miss Subhan know your score!

CLICK THE LINK BELOW - to watch Ms. Sohanta making 2-digit numbers using Tens and Ones, then have a go yourself and show me your numbers on our facebook page. :-)

Look at all the arrays Ms. Sohanta saw on her walk yesterday! Can you find arrays in your house? Can you find the total of the array by counting in groups? Send me a photo of your arrays on our face book page, I'd love to see them. :-)

Arrays are all around us. Can you work out the array in these photos?

Hello year 1!

Let’s explore heavier and lighter.

Can you answer these questions?

If you are able to, find two objects in your house or garden and explain to your adults why you think one is heavier than the other. Remember to explain your answers using our maths vocabulary... ‘I think that..’ and ‘because’.

Let Miss Subhan and Ms Sohanta see your findings by logging onto the Henley Green Facebook page and sharing your photos of your maths learning!

Stay safe year 1 families.

Can you solve this challenge?

Extension: You now have 2 balls to knock the pins over. If you knock 2 different pins over each time, what different scores could you get?
