English

Over the next few weeks, we are going to be building up to writing an adventure story. This week we will start by looking at penguins and then move on to looking at describing a winter scene. All of the information you need to support you in your English learning this week is included in the PDF below (first document). Please complete the tasks each day and send them to the Yr3 email address so your teacher can feedback.

*If you are unable to print the sheets, write your work out on paper*

Resources you will need for your English lessons this week:

To support you with Thursday's lesson on writing sentences about our winter scene, I have added the expanded noun phrases and some example sentences that the children in school have created.

Friday Handwriting

This week in handwriting, we are looking at one armed robot letters:

Reading

Romulus and Remus are twin brothers whose story tells the events that led to the founding of the city of Rome and the Roman Kingdom by Romulus. The text on the WCGR teaching page is the text with 3 stars from the reading comprehension pack. If this is too difficult, choose the text and questions with one or two stars.

Spelling

This week's spellings are shown below. Make sure you practise them regularly throughout the week and ask a grown-up to test you at the end of the week.

Challenge: Write each word in a sentence to show you understand their meaning.
