The Great British Spring Clean

This April members of the Construction Club took part in the Great British Spring clean. They joined community members and  staff from Lovells and Whitefriars Housing to pick up litter from the near by Manor Farm estate. The children were excellent ambassadors for the school and have returned to school talking about setting up a litter picking group for school.

Exemplary Behaviour

Children who have been displaying exemplary behaviour around school have been noted all term. On the last day for term the names of 8 children were selected at random for a treat. These children worked with Mrs Rouse in the morning to cook pizzas and carrot cake from scratch which they then ate with Miss Pagett for their lunch.

Little Acorns and Nursery created all this wonderful work for our Easter display. Happy Easter!

1S have been learning about the Easter story. We role played the story in groups.

Children in Need Day November 2017

This year we linked Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need day. Throughout the week the school's Anti-Bullying Ambassadors (ABAs) have been running special events and selling blue ribbons to raise awareness around anti-bullying. For Children in Need day the ABAs asked the children to come to school wearing something blue. Here are some photos ...

Together we will remember.

This week in Little Acorns we have been learning all about poppies. We have had various activities out within the environment including: collaging and painting poppies, constructing our own poppies and also watching a short clip all about what the poppy symbolises.

Celebrating Black History month in Little Acorns.

The children celebrated Black History month by tasting various foods from around the world. We tried: pineapple, papaya, mango, coconut flakes, rice, coconut, tiger bread and coconut milk. It was super yummy and interesting to try new foods we haven't had before!
